Key Stage 3

Years 7, 8 & 9 known as Key Stage 3 follow the National Curriculum for England. Subjects include English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, ICT, Art, and Physical Education. As part of the host country curriculum requirements - Arabic and Islamic Studies are offered. The curriculum prepares students for the Cambridge International Examinations at Key Stage 4.

During these years, students will develop their abilities to communicate with clarity and confidence. Students will have an increasing understanding of the moral, social and cultural issues of the world through deeper ethical analysis. The development of confident, articulate and socially responsible citizens with a willingness to serve both their fellow students and the wider community are of utmost importance.

As in the Primary Section of the school, a selection of extra-curricular activities is offered.

We aim to help our students leave the Cambridge School, Doha, with an awareness of tradition, valuing the importance of leadership and world citizenship and having a strong sense of community. We trust that they will all carry with them a vision for the future, becoming productive and worthwhile members of society.

By the end of Year 6, our aim is to ensure that all students have gained a well-rounded education. They should have developed a thorough understanding of the subjects studied, whilst having developed articulate expression and confidence in preparation for secondary education.

Through the weekly online gazette, written reports, a school management system and Consultation Evening programmes, parents are updated regularly on the progress of their children and on the activities within the school. Parents are welcome to discuss their child's individual progress and any concerns they may have, by making an appointment with the concerned teacher or the Principal through the Parent Relations Officer.
